Malleshwaram or Malleshwara is one of the oldest localities and a well-planned area situated in the Bengaluru North Bengaluru Western part of Bangalore. Its name is derived from the famous Kaadu Malleswara temple. The area was founded by H. V. Nanjundaiah, the first Vice Chancellor of the Mysore University and acting Dewan of Mysore.
